1.Building Materials & Construction
BMC has to be taught in order to know types, quality, standardization and usage of construction materials such as brick, sand, aggregate and cement etc, to practice various types of bonding used in bricklaying, to understand proportions of mortar, plaster , concrete and their usage, to comprehend types of windows , doors, stairs and roofs, to accustom joints used in wood working and to handle easily and skillfully carpentry and masonry hand tools.
2.Surveying
General knowledge about surveying can be obtained by studing this subject. Singnals used in surveying, linear measurement, chain survey, compass surveying, leveling, using theodolite and level, traversing, contours and uses of contour maps, calculation of area and measurement of volume are being taught and trained theorectically and practically.
3.Engineering Drawing
The subject is about teaching basic civil engineering drawing. By studying this subject, students can know how to use drawing equipment and how to draw various types of line and geometrical construction by using these equipment. Then, they also comprehend isometric drawing and orthographic projection and so they can draw many objects from different points of view. They are able to draw foundation plan, floor plan and crossections of buildings. Moreover they can also study different types of culverts and draw plans and sections of these culverts.
